Mamoun Aburas
Meet Mamoun, the esteemed founder of our music academy, with over 30 years of experience in classical and oriental music. Holding an Advanced Level Certificate from Trinity College London and formerly a member of the renowned Dubai Chamber Orchestra, his captivating performances have delighted audiences across Canada. With a teaching career spanning two decades, Mamoun instills a deep love for the violin in students at all levels. His patient and dedicated approach creates an environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential under his expert guidance. Dima Hassoun
Dima is an experienced music teacher with 18+ years of classroom and one-on-one instruction experience in Dubai and Ontario. She excels in organizing school events and evaluating students to determine their ideal instrument based on their interests and personalities. Dima holds a Diploma in Music Teaching (Syria, 2002), Grade 5 Theory of Music (A.B.R.S.M, London, UK, 2008), Elementary Piano Instructor certification (RCM, Toronto, 2021), and a degree in Early Childhood Education (Mohawk College, Ontario, 2022). With her passion for music education and commitment to professional growth, Dima provides a nurturing and enriching learning experience for students of all levels, helping them reach their musical potential.
Gaby Al Botros
Meet Gaby Al-Botros, a versatile classical guitarist, composer, and arranger. With a passion for Flamenco, Jazz, Celtic, Folk, and Middle Eastern music, Gaby's performances encompass solo concerts, baroque ensembles, and guitar ensembles. Notably, he collaborated with renowned musicians on many pieces of music, including Vivaldi's Concerto in G major and Concierto Andaluz by Joaquín Rodrigo. Co-founding the Damascus and Orontes Quartets, Gaby's commitment to showcasing the guitar as a concert instrument in Syria earned recognition worldwide. He received a fellowship grant from the Artist Protection Fund and toured Canada with the Orontes Quartet, captivating audiences. A dedicated music teacher, Gaby emphasizes effective performance and musical communication in his teaching approach.
Majd is an accomplished classical pianist with a rich educational background. He studied classical piano performance at the Dubai National Conservatory of Music (United Arab Emirates) in collaboration with the Premiere Music College of Prague (Czech Republic), obtaining his International Music Study Exam (IMSE) certification in 2019. Majd's talent led him to become a former member of the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra in Dubai and win first place across the G.C.C for four consecutive years at the Emirates Peace Music Competition. With over a decade of experience in classical piano performance and professional piano teaching at Long and McQuade (Burlington, Ontario), Majd offers a comprehensive educational experience following the RCM curriculum.
